The Dutch independent fuel supplier to the maritime industry, Titan, concluded the first LNG-liquefied natural gas delivery to P&O UK’s 2nd LNG-powered Excel-class vessel Arvia.

According to a social media update from Titan, the LNG bunkering was concluded last week in Eemshaven (Netherlands).

The NYK Line-owned Green Zeebrugge, chartered long-term by Titan, executed the gassing up/LNG bunker operation to Arvia.

Built by the German shipbuilding company Meyer Werft, the vessel is currently on sea trials/final commissioning. P&O will take delivery at the beginning of December 2022.

The newbuild is equipped with an LNG propulsion system, the cleanest currently available to the shipping industry, the shipbuilder revealed.
