Virgin Voyages has announced a partnership with the World Poker Tour (WPT) to offer a first-of-its-kind poker experience aboard its Scarlet Lady ship.
The exclusive “WPT at Sea” Poker Room will feature eight custom poker tables and professional dealers, offering beginner training, cash games, satellites, and WPT Prize Package tournaments.
The room will also host a US$320 buy-in “WPT at Sea” main event during each sailing. The WPT at Sea Poker Room has established a seamless experience, with cashless participation, allowing all transactions to be easily handled on Sailors’ wearable devices.
The CEO of Virgin Voyages, Tom McAlpin, stated that the partnership with WPT is an industry first and provides an oasis for WPT in a way never seen before.
Adam Pliska (WPT's CEO) believes that Scarlet Lady provides the perfect residence for WPT at Sea, which will bring the premium poker experience to the high seas.
