NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled a series of enhancements aboard the Norwegian Joy following a 3-week drydock refurbishment project.

Among the notable updates are the introduction of a new Thermal Suite (in the Mandara Spa & Salon), redesigned Three-Bedroom The Haven Premier Owner’s Suites, an expanded Vibe Beach Club, and 24 staterooms received balconies.

The highlight of the renovations is the spacious Thermal Suite, now the largest within the Breakaway-Plus class ships. Guests aboard Norwegian Joy can indulge in rejuvenating experiences with brand-new amenities such as four senses loungers, a sauna, an ice room, and a steam room. These enhancements aim to elevate the acclaimed Mandara Spa experience. Additionally, the Two new Premier Owner’s Suites with a Large Balcony have been expanded to feature three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and a fully renovated living room, master bedroom, and outdoor balcony furniture. A new separate dining room overlooks the forward-facing The Haven Horizon Lounge.

The adults-only Vibe Beach Club has also undergone an expansion, now offering a layout similar to those on Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Bliss, featuring new private luxe cabanas.

In addition to these upgrades, Norwegian Joy boasts 21 bars and lounges, 16 complimentary and specialty restaurants, and a quarter-mile oceanfront promenade designed to immerse guests in stunning sea views. The vessel offers an array of activities, including the Norwegian Joy Speedway, Aqua Park, mini-golf course, and world-class entertainment such as “Elements” and “Deal or No Deal”.

Norwegian Joy emerged from her 3-week dry dock in Rotterdam Netherlands on February 11, 2024, before embarking on an 11-day Transatlantic voyage from Southampton England to Miami (RepositionCruises.com).

The revitalized ship currently offers seven-day, round-trip Caribbean voyages from PortMiami Florida, with upcoming sailings to New York in the summer of 2024, featuring cruises to Bermuda with overnights on the island. Guests can take advantage of NCL’s Free at Sea program when booking Norwegian Joy cruises, which includes complimentary add-ons such as unlimited open bar, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, shore excursion credits, and, on select voyages, free airfare for the second guest, along with third and fourth guests sailing free.
