NCL-Norwegian Cruise Line has officially recorded the first passage of its latest vessel, Norwegian Aqua, sailing from its newly established seasonal homeport in New York City to Bermuda’s Royal Naval Dockyard. The vessel embarked upon round-trip voyages of 5 and 7 nights to Bermuda, commencing in late August and continuing through October 2025.

The ship received a warm reception from the government of Bermuda at its inaugural port call on August 25th, where dignitaries presented commemorative plaques, acknowledging the arrival of this flagship of the Prima Plus class.

Following this initial deployment, Norwegian Aqua is scheduled to reposition to Miami in October for winter sailings to the Bahamas and Caribbean, before returning to New York in April 2026 for an extended Bermuda season through October.

Aboard, the ship offers a suite of novel amenities. Thrill seekers may ascend to new heights aboard the Aqua Slidecoaster—the world’s first hybrid of roller coaster and waterslide at sea—while others may engage in competition at the Glow Court with its digital LED floor, or explore the immersive Aqua Game Zone, which merges classic arcade play with virtual reality. The adults-only Vibe Beach Club provides a serene counterpoint, featuring cabanas, hot tubs, and a private bar, while the Mandara Spa and Thermal Suite supply forward-facing ocean vistas and sensory treatments.

Together, the kiss of New York departure convenience, Bermuda’s pink sands, and the ship’s bold new features chart a notable course in contemporary cruising. Norwegian Aqua navigates a path between luxury and innovation, inviting passengers to craft bespoke experiences at sea and ashore.
