Emerald Cruises has commenced pre-bookings for its 2027 European river cruise collection, unlocking access earlier than ever before—a response to rising guest demand for rich, culturally immersive inland voyages.
The company’s president for the USA and Latin America noted that travelers are planning farther in advance and seeking novel ways to experience Europe in comfort and elegance, highlighting that the emergence of Emerald Lumi on the Seine and the expanded 2027 program embody Emerald's contemporary river-cruise philosophy—fleet luxury, inclusive values, and freedom ashore.
The 2027 season will span Europe’s principal waterways—the Seine and Rhône in France, the Douro Valley in Portugal, the Moselle, and the Rhine–Main–Danube corridor—from February until December.
The new Emerald Lumi, scheduled to debut in March 2027, will operate round-trip itineraries from Paris along the Seine.
Programming across other rivers will grow with the arrival of Emerald Astra in May 2026.
Travelers will be able to tailor their voyages more extensively, linking multiple river cruises, adding land extensions, or combining a river journey with one aboard Emerald’s yachts in the Mediterranean or Adriatic.
Foreseen sailings include:
- The 8-day “Sensations of the Seine & Normandy,” circumnavigating Paris aboard Emerald Lumi and visiting Monet’s gardens at Giverny, Rouen, and Honfleur.
- An 8-day “Danube Delights,” tracing Budapest to Munich through Central Europe’s baroque cities, villages, and abbeys.
- The “Jewels of the Rhine,” 8 days from Amsterdam to Zurich past medieval castles and vineyards.
- An 11-day “Rhine Castles & Moselle Vineyards” voyage from Zurich to Amsterdam, navigating the castle-dotted valleys.
- A 15-day “Splendours of Europe,” spanning Amsterdam to Budapest along the Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers, linking Europe’s premier cultural centers and landscapes.
The early release of the 2027 program also offers travel advisors and group organizers advance access to in-demand itineraries, suite categories, and charter possibilities.
