MSC Cruises has announced a substantial refurbishment of MSC Poesia in preparation for its inaugural Alaska season in summer 2026. The work will introduce the MSC Yacht Club luxury enclave, new specialty dining options, upgraded wellness and fitness facilities, and enhancements across several public venues.
The Yacht Club will offer 63 newly added suites in five categories, comprising ocean-view balcony and family-friendly connected suites. Among these, the Royal Suite will accommodate up to six guests and include a private whirlpool, a 78-square-metre terrace, and an outdoor shower with panoramic ocean views. All suites will feature marble-finished bathrooms, a Nespresso machine, complimentary minibar, premium linens, and 24-hour room service.
Included with the Yacht Club access will be a private sundeck with hot tubs and grill & bar facilities, a dedicated restaurant, a lounge, and a forward-deck Top Sail Lounge featuring floor-to-ceiling windows. The public areas will also see additions: a steakhouse (Butcher’s Cut), a reimagined sushi venue (Kaito Sushi Bar), a new sports bar (All-Stars Sports Bar), and improvements to spa and gym facilities, including an ocean-view sauna, salt room, Kneipp path, emotional showers, relaxation areas, and expanded fitness amenities including courts and ocean-facing exercise zones.
The upgraded Poesia will homeport in Seattle for 7-night sailings from May through September 2026, visiting destinations such as Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, Juneau, and Victoria in British Columbia. During winter 2026-2027, she will reposition for Caribbean and Central America itineraries. Panama Canal transits between Seattle and Miami are also planned.
