Victory Cruise Lines has initiated a fleet enhancement program valued at approximately US$5 million for its vessels Victory I and Victory II during the 2026 layup period. The work program combines technical maintenance, regulatory inspections, and a series of upgrades aimed at improving the onboard guest environment.

The marine scope of the project includes top-end overhauls of the ships’ main engines, recertification of onboard cranes, and various drydock improvements. Additional work involves selective replacement of deck surfaces and a complete renewal of the vessels’ exterior paint. Annual regulatory inspections are being carried out in cooperation with the United States Coast Guard.

Chief Operating Officer David William Kelly indicated in a company statement that the layup period is treated as a structured investment cycle for the fleet. He explained that the US$5 million program reflects the company’s intention to maintain the technical reliability of its ships while gradually enhancing the onboard experience for passengers.

A number of interior and hotel-service improvements are also part of the program. The entrance to the Coastal Dining Room is being redesigned with a custom herringbone floor pattern, while new windows are being installed in The Grill. Lighting systems are being upgraded in several public areas, and the Compass Lounge will receive a new sound system. Additional work includes the installation of custom carpeting in the main restaurant and stair towers, along with the replacement of wall coverings in selected spaces. Upholstery and soft furnishings throughout key guest areas are also being refreshed.

The ships’ culinary facilities are also being updated through the installation of new galley equipment. Mobile cooking stations will be introduced in the Compass Lounge, allowing the culinary team to conduct live demonstrations and interactive cooking competitions that involve senior officers during select onboard events.
