Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has released a new series of renderings providing an initial view of its forthcoming vessels, S.S. Audrey and S.S. Marlene, both scheduled to enter service in 2027.

The ships were first announced in March 2025, with additional design details presented later that year. Each vessel draws thematic inspiration from notable figures of classic cinema, with S.S. Audrey reflecting the aesthetic associated with Audrey Hepburn, while S.S. Marlene is influenced by the image and style of Marlene Dietrich.

Ellen Bettridge, President and Chief Executive Officer of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, indicated that distinctive design has long been a defining characteristic of the company’s vessels. She noted that the new ships were conceived as a continuation of this approach, drawing on the visual legacy of the two figures to shape onboard spaces and details, while also supporting a closer connection between passengers and the destinations visited during each voyage.

The interior concept for S.S. Audrey incorporates a color palette of greens, golds and blues, combined with geometric patterns and decorative elements referencing the actress’s style. The vessel is scheduled to enter service on April 16th, 2027, with its inaugural sailing on the Remarkable Rhine and Historic Holland itinerary. During its first season, it is also expected to operate additional itineraries including Paris, Prague and Germany’s Hidden Gems, as well as Scenic Rhine, Paris and the Swiss Alps.

S.S. Marlene will feature interiors built around warmer tones, including tan and gold, complemented by accents of pink, red and blue. The ship is planned to debut earlier in the season, commencing service on March 27th, 2027, with a Tulips and Windmills itinerary. It will subsequently operate established European routes such as Enchanting Danube and Delightful Danube.

In addition to these vessels, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is also preparing to introduce S.S. São Rafael, further expanding its fleet in 2027.
