Azamara Cruises has introduced a newly developed onboard entertainment program aboard Azamara Pursuit, marking the first implementation of a revised lineup of original stage productions created in collaboration with RWS Global, a 2003-founded (by Ryan Stana) company active in live entertainment and performance design. The program was launched on April 10th, 2026, during a Japan-focused itinerary calling at Kobe, Nagasaki, and Tokyo, and is intended to be extended gradually across the fleet.
The initial deployment includes two productions exclusive to Azamara Pursuit, titled "Viva Vegas" and "Yesterday, Today, and Forever", alongside additional shows - "Written in the Stars" and "Vinyl Records: The Studio Sessions" - scheduled for introduction on other vessels at a later stage.
The new grand shows combine structured narrative formats with music, staging, and visual design elements to form evening entertainment offerings onboard.
Company representatives indicated that the revised program forms part of a broader approach linking onboard experience with destination-focused travel, noting that Azamara Pursuit serves as the first platform for this updated direction. The performances were described as drawing on musical heritage, cultural themes, and contemporary staging to reflect the character of destinations visited during each voyage.
The two productions debuting on Pursuit include a theatrical concert inspired by the style and atmosphere of mid-20th-century Las Vegas entertainment, reinterpreted with contemporary elements, and a second production centered on the musical legacy and cultural influence of The Beatles, presented through period-inspired staging and performance.
Additional productions planned for wider fleet distribution include a narrative-driven theatrical work set against a celestial theme, and a music-focused performance staged within the setting of a recording studio, combining live musicianship with multimedia design.
The rollout schedule indicates that Azamara Journey will be the next vessel to receive the program in May 2026, followed by Azamara Quest in November of the same year and Azamara Onward in March 2027.
The initiative builds on an existing partnership between Azamara and RWS Global, originally established in 2017, and reflects a continued development of onboard programming aligned with evolving guest expectations.
