CCL-Carnival Cruise Line is set to broaden its operations from the Port of Baltimore through a new two-year agreement with the Maryland Port Administration that will position Carnival Miracle in the Mid-Atlantic homeport beginning in 2027.

The deployment will place a second CCL vessel in Baltimore during the November-to-April season and expand the range of Caribbean itineraries available from the port.

The seasonal programme will introduce additional long-range Caribbean sailings from Baltimore, including itineraries to Aruba, Curaçao, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua and St. Maarten. The deployment also increases the number of 12- to 14-day voyages available to passengers seeking extended Caribbean itineraries without the need to embark in Florida.

The Carnival Miracle will operate alongside the year-round based Carnival Pride, which continues its established Bahamas, Bermuda, Caribbean and Canada/Greenland cruises from Baltimore under a separate long-term agreement.

CCL indicated that Baltimore has remained a significant homeport within its network for more than two decades and that the addition of a second ship reflected continued confidence in the region’s cruise market and passenger demand.

CCL also noted that the expanded deployment was intended to provide greater itinerary variety for repeat passengers and families while increasing tourism activity linked to cruise operations in Baltimore. Maryland port officials stated that the port’s location near Interstate 95, Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport continued to strengthen its position as a principal cruise gateway in the Mid-Atlantic. According to the Maryland Port Administration, each cruise call contributes substantially to the regional economy through hospitality, transportation and local business activity, while supporting several hundred jobs connected to cruise operations.

Carnival Miracle is scheduled to arrive in Baltimore on November 20th, 2027, following a transatlantic crossing from Civitavecchia/Rome. From there, the vessel will begin a programme of 7-, 8- and 9-day Caribbean voyages alongside extended Carnival Journeys sailings.
