Celestyal extends Mediterranean programme as winter deployment shifts away from the Arabian Gulf

Celestyal has announced a revised winter deployment strategy for 2026–2027 that will see the company withdraw its previously planned Arabian Gulf season and instead extend operations in the Eastern Mediterranean across its 2-ship fleet. The decision places greater emphasis on reinforcing the line’s regional positioning and expanding access to destinations within its established Mediterranean operating area.

Under the revised programme, the 1,360-guest Celestyal Discovery will add two further Iconic Greek Islands departures in November 2026, followed by four additional sailings in March 2027. Meanwhile, the 1,260-guest Celestyal Journey will introduce four March 2027 departures, comprising two Heavenly Greece, Italy and Croatia itineraries alongside two Idyllic Greece sailings focused on a blend of well-known and less-frequented Greek islands.

Alongside the expanded Eastern Mediterranean programme, Celestyal confirmed the introduction of a new Western Mediterranean itinerary aboard Celestyal Discovery for both winter 2026–2027 and winter 2027–2028. Further details regarding routing and pricing are scheduled for release ahead of the opening of sales from June 15th.

Lee Haslett, Chief Commercial Officer at Celestyal, noted that the revised deployment followed a review of seasonal positioning and reflected a decision to concentrate investment and capacity within a more distinctly Mediterranean offering. He indicated that the adjustment would broaden itinerary choice while introducing Western Mediterranean voyages to the company’s programme for the first time.

The revised deployment also continues Celestyal’s emphasis on destination-focused cruising, supported by a style of operation centred on relaxed hospitality and extended engagement ashore. Additional winter itineraries for Celestyal Journey in 2027–2028 are expected to be announced at a later stage.

Travel partners have been informed of the changes and provided with updated information intended to support guest rebooking and itinerary transition processes. The repositioning illustrates a continued recalibration of seasonal capacity toward markets and regions aligned with Celestyal’s established maritime identity and operational base.
