Margaritaville at Sea expands live entertainment concept with Beachcomber debut

Margaritaville at Sea is set to place live music at the centre of its onboard experience with the introduction of its third vessel, Beachcomber, which is scheduled to enter service from Miami in January 2027. The new ship will debut the cruise line's most extensive entertainment programme to date, combining concert-style productions with the industry's first artist-curated live music venue developed in partnership with American country music artist Zac Brown.

The expansion reflects growing global demand for live entertainment as a core element of the holiday experience. Building on the musical heritage associated with the Margaritaville brand, the cruise line is evolving its entertainment offering through larger-scale productions, enhanced staging technology and immersive performance concepts designed to create a concert atmosphere throughout the voyage.

At the heart of the programme is Same Boat, a live music venue co-designed with Zac Brown and promoted as the first artist-curated performance space aboard a cruise ship. Inspired by Brown's touring career and maritime influences, the venue will feature regular live performances, themed interiors and a dedicated music programme intended to become a focal point of Beachcomber's onboard entertainment.

The vessel will also introduce three original production shows developed exclusively for the new flagship. Friday Night Country has been designed to recreate the atmosphere of an outdoor country music concert, combining contemporary country music with audience participation, choreography and specialty performance elements. Red, White & Margaritaville adopts a more theatrical format, following the story of a small-town band pursuing commercial success against a backdrop of classic American rock music, supported by large-scale stage effects and illusion performances. Club Fuego draws inspiration from the nightlife of Miami, Puerto Rico and Havana, presenting Latin music and dance in both family-friendly and adults-only late-night performances.

Each production will be presented several times during every voyage, enabling passengers to experience the full entertainment programme regardless of itinerary length. The new shows form part of a wider strategy to strengthen Beachcomber's entertainment offering while expanding the variety of live performances available throughout the ship.

Beyond the theatre, the vessel will feature an enlarged selection of bars and lounges designed to reinforce its music-oriented identity. Alongside the Same Boat venue, passengers will have access to a range of social spaces, including poolside venues, a Polynesian-inspired lounge and a speakeasy-style cocktail bar featuring drinks influenced by South American flavours.

Karen Maybury, Vice President of Entertainment at Margaritaville at Sea, indicated that live music has always been central to the company's onboard product and stated that Beachcomber represents a significant expansion of that concept. She noted that the three new productions have been developed to reflect the energy and escapism associated with the brand while providing passengers with a more immersive entertainment experience throughout their voyage.

Beachcomber is scheduled to commence year-round service from PortMiami in January 2027, operating seven- to ten-night cruises to destinations throughout the Eastern and Southern Caribbean while introducing a new entertainment-led product to the Margaritaville at Sea fleet.
