Some cruisers will have the ultimate soundtrack for the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21, when Bonnie Tyler sings the hit “Total Eclipse of the Heart” onboard.
Royal Caribbean revealed the Welsh singer would be backed on the power ballad by DNCE band of Joe Jonas for an outdoor theater performance on Oasis of the Seas as part of its “Total Eclipse Cruise.”
The ship leaves from Port Canaveral, Florida on Sunday, August 20, and will sail through the Caribbean towards St Maarten on Monday when the moon will pass in front of the sun. The total eclipse will be viewable in a narrow band across the sea.
“Total Eclipse of the Heart” topped Billboard charts for 4 weeks in 1983.
