The World's Most Luxurious River Cruise Line™, Crystal River Cruises, christened the first of its 4 "Rhine Class" newbuilds, Crystal Bach, on Sunday, August 20 in Rudesheim Germany.
The ceremony was presided over by Crystal's CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez, along with emcee and popular Crystal entertainer, Mark Farris.
The godmother of the ship, beloved German opera singer Anna-Maria Kaufmann, christened Crystal Bach with the traditional blessing and champagne breaking. She lent her talents to the celebration via a special performance of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Air."
In attendance were also ship's cruise passengers, local travel partners and executives from parent company, Genting Hong Kong.
Sailing 10- and 14-day cruises predominantly along Rhine River, Crystal Bach will visit medieval towns and contemporary hubs in Belgium, Germany, Netherlands and Switzerland.
