Windstar launched a new OCC (Onboard Cruise Consultant) program to help passengers on cruise vacations plan future experiences and drive benefits that support travel professionals. The first Onboard Cruise Consultant embarked onboard Star Legend on ship's February 3 itinerary out of Bangkok to Hong Kong.
Within the next months, 3 more OCC’s will join Wind Surf, Star Breeze and Star Pride, the largest of Windstar Cruises' yacht-like fleet. The remaining 2 ships will be evaluated for the new program in the near future.
The Onboard Cruise Consultant Program is designed to help passengers consider their next Windstar voyage and, when booking onboard, they can receive extra value.
Benefits of onboard booking with the OCC include:
- Reduced Deposit – a real value, fully refundable, based on the guidelines of the program. Reduced deposits start at US$200 per booking in comparison with the normal deposit of 15% of fare.
- 5% Savings (Onboard/Welcome Home) – passengers who have sailed are eligible for 5% Onboard/Welcome Home new booking savings. It provides 5% off the cruise price.
- 5% Savings (Yacht Club Members) – current passengers are automatically enrolled in Windstar's “Yacht Club Member” program. All members are eligible for 5% off the fare after promotional adjustments.
