Costa Cruises company celebrated 70th anniversary with its passengers, on a special voyage dedicated to CostaClub members.

On a 12-day cruise aboard Costa Pacifica, with a new itinerary that visited some of the most beautiful spots in the Mediterranean, a program of events full of exceptional guests and surprises brought together nearly 3000 CostaClub members from a total of 18 different countries.

A 3-m-high pyramid of colorful pastry cakes was created by French Pastry Chef Christophe Adam. Winner of 7 Michelin stars Chef Bruno Barbieri, who is a partner of Costa for many years, directed a show-cooking event involving several members of CostaClub in preparing dishes. He also presented a new menu created exclusively for Costa Cruises ships.

Gloria Gaynor was the star of the cruise. She performed in concert in the theatre of the ship, singing all her most successful hits, including “Never Can Say Goodbye” and “I Will Survive”.

Costa Cruises' birthday party was also attended by Neil Palomba (Costa's President) and culminated with the cutting of a celebratory cake.

The next CostaClub voyage departs on April 20, 2019, aboard Costa Mediterranea, sailing from Amsterdam on a 16-day itinerary dedicated to Ireland and Great Britain.
