Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) announced it had confirmed previously announced options for the 5th and 6th Project Leonardo Class cruise liners with the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri for NCL (Norwegian Cruise Line) due to be delivered in 2026 and 2027.

At 140,000 GT and accommodating approx 3,300 passengers, this next generation class of cruise ships will build upon the successful offering of flexibility found across the NCL fleet, including the recent Breakaway Plus Class vessels, and feature inventive designs that will elevate its award-winning passenger experience.

Priority of the prototype design is its energy efficiency, aiming to optimize fuel consumption and reducing the environmental impact. The smaller footprint will broaden deployment opportunities around the globe.  Details on the innovative features will be announced at a later date.
