Ovation of the Seas to Visit Tauranga 7 Times

Tauranga is one of the two port cities that will be visited 7 times by Ovation of the Seas during this cruise season.

Ovation of the Seas is the largest cruise ship in New Zealand and is expected to help boost the economy in passenger spend alone during ship's 3rd New Zealand season.

The vessel visited Wellington for the first time on Wednesday, November 7, and is due to sail to Tauranga on Friday, November 9.

Royal Caribbean's megaship is scheduled to make 51 port calls in New Zealand this season, up from the 29 visits last season.

Wellington and Dunedin are set to benefit most from the extended 3rd season with 8 and 10 visits from the ship respectively. Auckland and Tauranga are due to receive 7 visits this season.

During 2018-2019 season, the 168,000GT Ovation of the Seas is expected to inject more than NZD$33 million to the economy of New Zealand in passenger spend alone.
