MSC Cruises will deploy MSC Euribia to the Canary Islands and Madeira for the winter 2027-2028 season, offering 7-night itineraries covering 6 Atlantic island destinations. The deployment will mark the fourth season of the cruise line's Canary Islands and Madeira programme and will introduce one of MSC's newest ships to the region.
The programme is aimed at the European winter market and will operate with four embarkation options: Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Funchal, Arrecife and Santa Cruz de La Palma. The 7-night itinerary will include calls at Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Funchal, Lanzarote and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, together with one day at sea.
The itinerary will combine the volcanic landscapes and coastal areas of the Canary Islands with the historic and cultural attractions of Madeira. MSC said the programme also generates economic activity across the destinations visited, supporting ports, shore excursion operators, transportation companies, tourism businesses and other local suppliers during the winter season.
Gianni Onorato, Chief Executive Officer of MSC Cruises, said the Canary Islands remained an important component of the company's winter deployment and that passenger demand had supported the continuation of the programme. He added that assigning MSC Euribia to the region for winter 2027-28 demonstrated the company's continued commitment to the destination and to expanding the programme.
Entering service in 2023, MSC Euribia is equipped with a range of dining, entertainment and leisure facilities. These include the indoor Galleria Euribia promenade with its LED dome, multiple restaurants and entertainment venues, family facilities, swimming pools and a large waterpark. The ship also features the MSC Yacht Club, the company's ship-within-a-ship concept.
The winter 2027-2028 deployment will also result in a change to another itinerary. MSC Fantasia will take over MSC Euribia's existing 7-night Western Mediterranean programme, operating round-trips from Barcelona visiting Marseille, Genoa, Naples, Palermo and La Goulette, with a day at sea and additional embarkation options at ports along the itinerary.
Sales for both schedules will open on September 28th through MSC's website, contact centre, and travel agencies.
