When Carnival Victory transforms into Carnival Radiance early 2020, she will feature a new complimentary restaurant created by Carnival Cruise Line’s Chief Fun Officer, Shaquille O’Neal.
Following a US$200 million refurbishment, Radiance will become a new ship. To introduce Big Chicken is exciting as the franchise is not only new to the line, but new period, with Shaquille O’Neal having opened up the first Big Chicken branch in Las Vegas just a few weeks ago.
Big Chicken will obviously serve chicken, with an emphasis on fried chicken sandwiches, each given a playfun name inspired by NBA Hall Of Famer’s nicknames. The restaurant will of course serve fries, as well as breakfast, and chicken-and-egg biscuits.
Big Chicken will be similar to Carnival's Guy’s Burger Joint and guests will place their orders here and get them to go.
When Radiance debuts, Big Chicken will not be the only new venue onboard. Lines signature "Fahrenheit 555" steakhouse will be added, along with Bonsai Sushi and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse.
Chef’s Table will be moved to glass-enclosed section of ship's forward dining room. Italian restaurant Cucina del Capitano is also due to join the culinary lineup. Radiance will also receive a RedFrog Pub, as well as Piano Bar 88.
