Cunard Line Introduces Full Season of Alaska Cruises in 2020

Luxury cruise line Cunard announced it will spend a full season in Alaska between June and September 2020 onboard the newly-refurbished Queen Elizabeth. The company is making its grand return to the region in May 2019. Due to high demand, it will double the program in 2020.

Cunard's expanded program will feature 10 roundtrip cruises from Vancouver ranging from 9 to 12 nights as well as one getaway trip to San Francisco for an overnight on Independence Day. 

Each Alaska voyage offers popular destinations along the Pacific Northwest coast of British Columbia and Alaska with longer time in port including Juneau, Ketchikan, SkagwaySitka. In addition, the journeys offer awe-inspiring scenic cruising in the Inside Passage, Hubbard Glacier and Sawyer Glacier's twin fjords, Endicott Arm and Tracy Arm.

Travelers have the chance to combine itineraries together, including Alaska roundtrips, Independence Day voyage and North Pacific Crossings. 2020 cruises include:

  • 10-night Alaska Voyage, sailing round-trip from Vancouver (June 2-12, 2019), fares from US$1,599
  • 3-night Independence Day Celebration from Vancouver to San Francisco (July 2-5), fares from US$599
  • 16-night from San Francisco to Vancouver (July 5-21), fares from US$2,659
  • 29-night from Vancouver to Tokyo (August 29-September 28), fares from US$4,459.
