MSC Cruises revealed new retail offering onboard its new flagship MSC Bellissima boasting with the fleet's largest shopping area to date at 750 m2.
Bellissima will feature a shopping space, building on the line's already stellar shopping offer, that won the Cruise & Ferry Line Retailer of the Year 2018 award at Frontier Awards.
One of the key features aboard MSC Bellissima will be her Mediterranean-style promenade, specifically designed as the ship's social hub. The 96-meter long promenade is topped with an 80-meter LED dome that attracts passengers throughout the day and night to eat, drink, and shop, as well as enjoy a host of entertainment activities, the most notable of which is the 60s-themed Flower Glory party, due to external partner Ray Ban. A new team of Retail Ambassadors is on hand to create a unique environment of ‘experience retail.’
The Galleria boasts with nightly retail events, such as competitions, fashion shows, lucky draws, and exclusive promotions. With plans for the cruise ship to head to Asia in spring 2020, the offering is tailored to cater specifically to the preferences of Asian passengers.
MSC Bellissima’s expanded retail space features 3 additional shops, for a total of 13, and an increased variety of 200 major brands, of which the widest selection of label logo items. The list of brands includes Guerlain, Dior, Bulgari, Damiani, Chopard, Omega, Longines, Tag Heuer, Furla, Coccinelle, Armani Exchange, Lacoste, Calvin Klein.
For the first time onboard an MSC Cruises liner, Bellissima includes a technology shop featuring leading tech brands like Bang & Olufsen, Apple, Samsung, Bose, and more. MSC is also the only in-house operator of sunglasses retail onboard cruise ships, offering the largest ever selection of sunglasses brands on MSC Bellissima.
MSC Cruises works with leading brands to create exclusive products that are only available onboard. The long-term partner of ten years, Swarovski makes the perfect gift with the limited edition Mandarin Ducks. MSC Bellissima is the only ship to feature Swarovski Statement Collection.
For the younger guests, partner brands Chicco and LEGO offer exclusive MSC Cruises ship toys. Danish jewelry brand Trollbeads introduced the MSC Tattoo bead that features a sterling silver ship sailing through MSC Cruises wind rose. British jewelry brand Infinity & Co offer captain’s wheel charms that are created exclusively for the cruise company.
