CMV Astoria kicked off her 2019 season at Port Poole (Dorset, UK).

CMV's Astoria ship is due to call frequently throughout 2019-2020. She was one of the first cruise vessels to sail from the new South Quay berth in Poole when it opened in May last year. The US$13 million (GBP10 million) deep-water quay is able to accommodate cruise liners of up to 220 meters in length which carry over 1,000 passengers. It was constructed during the last phase of the 7-year expansion project of Poole Harbour Commissioners, which was one of the largest port developments on the south coast of the United Kingdom in recent years.

In 2019, the seaport will help the Royal British Legion commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day Landings in Normandy France. Fred Olsen’s liner Boudicca is scheduled to arrive in Poole on June 4 and participate in a variety of events prior to crossing the English Channel to Normandy (arriving on June 6).
