One of the largest cruise ship builders in the world, Chantiers de l’Atlantique, recently announces at Seatrade Cruise Global the launch of its new set of services, solutions, and systems, that are marketed under the name Atlantique +.

Atlantique + includes efficient and innovative solutions in 3 main areas: Energy/Environment, Guest experience, and Operations. In the area of Energy/Environment, Chantiers de l’Atlantique via its Atlantique + Ecorizon services allows cruise operators to achieve energy savings as well as improve the environmental footprint of the ships in operation.

Another example of innovative technology that is used to reduce both emissions and energy consumption is given by Solid Sail, the performing, foldable, full composite sail, that is easy to manoeuvre. The solution, which is developed by Chantiers de l’Atlantique, is now tested with probing results on Le Ponant.

In the area of Operations, Atlantique + provides smart services aimed at improving navigation, maintenance, and safety. In the area of Guest experience, the company proposes innovative added value infrastructure solutions for sun decks, public spaces, and cabins. Chantiers de l’Atlantique also offers a new version of its innovative sailing ship, named Silenseas+. Silenseas is a hybrid cruise ship that uses both sailing propulsion, due to dual-fuel engines and Solid Sail system.

This year, Chantiers de l’Atlantique comes back with Silenseas +, the evolution of the concept, presenting 2 versions of the vessel, Silenseas 190 (190-meter, 300-pax, 7-deck) and Silenseas 210 (210-meter, 300-pax, 8-deck). Both equipped with a sail area of 4.350 m2, the ships can cruise without emissions, under wind speeds above 15 Kn.
