Viking Sea Cancels Visit to Falmouth Due to Strong Winds

A visit by a Viking cruise ship to Falmouth, England was cancelled on Thursday, April 18.

The 930-passenger Viking Sea was scheduled to dock in County Wharf at around 8:00 a.m. when 40Kn wind speeds were predicted.

Around 30 tour coaches were booked in order to take travellers to Cornwall's attractions. They all were cancelled as the vessel headed to Cherbourg, France instead.

In March, passengers on another Viking ship, Viking Sky, had to be evacuated due to engine failure in stormy seas off the coast of Norway.
