Passenger Medevaced from Island Princess

The Coast Guard has medevaced a 61-year-old female passenger with cardiac problems from a Princess Cruises ship close to Bligh Island on the eastern side of Prince William Sound USA on Tuesday, June 11.

A 45-foot response boat took the patient from Island Princess to Valdez, where she was delivered in order to receive a higher level of medical care.

Despite the 12 mile-per-hour winds and the rain, the crew was able to make an adequate and fast rescue.
