Silver Wind Brings 300 Passengers to Fowey

Categorized as a small cruise ship (just 156 m long), the Silversea-operated Silver Wind arrived in Fowey UK on Tuesday, August 13, bringing around 300 tourists. The 17,400 GT vessel entered the harbour at ~ 7:00 am and left at 4 pm. It is the latest arrival in the many cruise ship visits of Cornwall over the summer months.

Smaller than many of the cruise liners that have visited Cornwall in 2019, Silver Wind managed to tower over almost every other ship in Fowey as she entered the harbour.

Silver Wind underwent a major drydock upgrade last year and has more works planned for the summer of 2020. The extra works will see her hull strengthened to 'ice class', meaning the ship will be capable of exploring Polar Regions.

Silver Wind visited Fowey as part of a 9-day voyage from London to Dublin. Fares for the particular cruise started from GBP 4,000.
