With the Hurricane Dorian's passing, major cruise companies were assessing, and gearing up to reopen private destinations in the Bahamas.

At Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line said that it needed to evaluate the pier and vessel channel prior to reopening the island to cruise passengers. It will also clean up some landscaping as well as make repairs to the roof of a small covered pavilion area.

Holland America announced its liners were to return to Half Moon Cay on October 21 as scheduled. Carnival Cruise Line is scheduled to be back on the island on September 12. Holland America Line announced there was minor beach erosion to be cleaned up, but no structural damage.

On Thursday, Norwegian Cruise Line said it was still assessing the situation at Great Stirrup Cay.

As it was previously reported, Royal Caribbean reopened Perfect Day at CocoCay on September 7.
