Majestic Princess to Be Homeported in Taiwan 2020

Princess Cruises announced that Majestic Princess will be homeporting for a 6-month season in Taipei (Keelung), Taiwan next year. This is the longest season that the ship will be based in Keelung.

Majestic Princess will sail 38 voyages from late March through August carrying more than 150,000 passengers to various destinations in South Korea and Japan.

In conjunction with the announcement, the company will launch enhanced experiences and services in 2020 including 3 cherry blossom-themed voyages visiting Busan (Korea), Fukuoka, Kumamoto City and Nagasaki. There will be limited-edition “cherry blossom sweets,” such as pink cheesecake, ice cream, and cherry blossom-themed pudding. In the main dining room, passengers will be able to enjoy a 3-course set from chef Curtis Stone.

In April 2020, MedallionNet will be launched on Majestic Princess when the liner is in Taiwan.

Princess has experienced huge growth in Asia in just 6 years of homeporting in the region – in Taiwan, Singapore, and Japan. In 2018, the cruise company carried more than 394,000 passengers in Asia. In the same year, 3 ships - Sun Princess, Diamond Princess, and Majestic Princess - were for the first time deployed to Taiwan. Between 2014-2018, Princess Cruises increased passenger numbers by nearly ten-fold in Taiwan.

Princess Cruises announced the appointment of Taiwanese singing star Selina Jen as the line’s 2020-2021 Brand Ambassador for Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Selina is a member of the all-female singing group S.H.E., an actress and TV host.
