Celebrity Cruises announced that its 3rd Edge-Class vessel will be named Celebrity Beyond at an official steel-cutting ceremony. Celebrity Beyond is scheduled for inauguration in 2021-Q3.
The announcement of the newbuild was made at the Saint Nazaire shipyard in France.
The steel-cutting marked the first stage of construction for the new cruise ship. Celebrity Cruises is also planning on a 4th Edge-Class vessel that will launch in Spring 2022 but is not named yet.
The 2nd Edge Class cruise ship, Celebrity Apex, will be named in Southampton UK on March 30, 2020.
