Via partnership with Discover Qatar and Ponant Cruises, Qatar Airways Holidays announced the launch of the Luxury Coastal Cruise of Qatar, which is tailored-made for citizens and residents and provides guests a memorable experience onboard the chartered top-luxury ship Le Champlain while enjoying coastal voyages.

Ponant's 3-night voyage leaves roundtrip from Doha and combines 5-star shipboard services, fine dining and premium accommodation with coastal expedition-style activities.

Le Champlain (2018-built) has 9 decks, 92 staterooms (equipped with high-end hotel amenities and step-out balconies), 24-hour butler service, two specialty restaurants (with menus by Michelin-star chef Alain Ducasse), a wellness complex with spa treatments, sundeck with an infinity pool, a unique underwater lounge with windows located below the waterline.

A hydraulic platform eases disembarking and embarking when passengers participate in expeditions. Sightseeing and exploration adventures include snorkeling at the reefs of Al Ashat island, gliding through the turquoise waters of Khor Al Udaid channel, and visiting scenic locations to observe marine and wildlife. Passengers have opportunities to witness an array of creatures including hammerhead sharks, dolphins, dugongs, flamingos, and Whale Sharks at the northeastern coastal waters of Qatar. A team of expert guides - marine biologists, naturalists, ornithologists - lead all expeditions.
