RCI said it will implement more stringent measures, keeping the overall experience at a high level. The decision of the line to choose Cyprus as a home port is considered "of utmost importance for the resumption of cruise tourism in the region," ranking the country among the top tourist destinations.

It is the first time a Royal Caribbean ship to be homeported in Cyprus. The liner will offer 7-night roundtrips (through October) when Jewel OTS will set sail to Miami Florida for the Caribbean season.
