Marella Cruises restarts on September 3 with ‘one-country’ itineraries

Malaga Spain was designated a homeport by Marella Cruises UK, adding two new itineraries from October.

The UK cruise line intends to make 4 stopovers departing from the port on a weekly basis from October 3 through 24, 2021.

Marella Explorer 2, which was officially christened in Port Malaga in 2019, is to combine 2 itineraries that will alternate (1 each week) with the start / end of the trip in the capital.

One of the itineraries is the Continental Coasts, which will call at other ports on the Mediterranean coast, including Alicante, Almeria, Barcelona, ​​Palma de Mallorca. The other is the Spirit of Iberia itinerary that is expected to visit the ports of Valencia, Ibiza, Cadiz, Cartagena, Gibraltar.

Marella Explorer 2 has max passenger capacity 1814 (plus 780 crew-staff).

Marella (part of TUI Group, which also owns TUI Cruises) is actively committed to Malaga: 2 of its boats were baptized at Cruise Terminal A. In 2019 they visited the port 10 times, with a total movement of 16,000 tourists.
