Continuing the expansion of its services in the Baltic Sea, in 2021 the ferry company STENA LINE is deploying two new cruise ships on the Latvia-Sweden route Ventspils-Nynashamn.

The first of the two boats, Stena Scandica, arrived in Port Nynashamn Tuesday morning, July 27, after completing the overnight Maiden Voyage from Ventspils.

Scandica adds another 70% more staterooms and 30% more freight capacity in comparison with the existing cruiseferries and offers an alternative way to travel on the Baltic.

Ventspils-Nynashamn is the shortest Baltic-Scandinavia route. When Stena Baltica and Scandica take over the route Ventspils-Nynashamn they'll replace Stena's Flavia and Livia ships, which will be redeployed on the Latvia-Germany route Liepaja-Travemunde/Lubeck.
