Silver Moon embarked on her inaugural season from Athens (Piraeus) on June 18, undertaking a series of 10-day cruises in the Greek Isles.

Following maritime traditions, the vice president of Caritas Hellas, Ioannis Patsis, blessed the new ship, before the godmother, Gaia Gaja (of Italian Gaja Winery) broke a bottle of champagne on the ship's bow.

At 40,700 GT and with maximum capacity 596 passengers, Silver Moon is Silversea’s 2nd Muse-class boat.

Built by Fincantieri at the Ancona shipyard in Italy, Silver Moon is an evolution of her sistership Silver Muse.
