DCL-Disney Cruise Line's ship Disney Magic sailed into Newcastle upon Tyne (England UK) on Friday, September 3, carrying families on one of her ‘staycation' voyages.

The art deco Magic ship features 11 public decks and can accommodate ~2,700 passengers and a crew of ~950.

According to Port of Tyne records, the liner came in at 06:03 a.m. sailing past South Shields.

As with other DCL ships, Disney Magic's horn blast plays a snippet of ‘When You Wish upon a Star’.

The ship sailed out again at 07:30 p.m. Friday evening.

Port Tyne said it welcomed the ship to its recently upgraded Northumbria Quay, marking the DCL’s first call to the region in the 2021 season.

Disney Magic is scheduled to return to the Port on September 6, 8, and 11.

DCL has been offering "staycation sailings" (cruises to nowhere) in the UK this summer as many vacationers have decided not to go overseas due to the ongoing COVID crisis.
