JAXPORT Cruise Terminal (Jacksonville, Florida USA) welcomed the passenger ship Ocean Explorer for a call port visit on October 13, 2021. The luxury expedition ship, operated under charter by Vantage Travel (fleet), was carrying 54 guests during her 9-hour call at Jacksonville.

During the single-day call, Ocean Explorer’s passengers experienced excursion opportunities in Northeast Florida before the boat departed in the afternoon.

JAXPORT served as the first port-of-call on the one-time itinerary originating in Nassau (Bahamas). After departing JAXPORT, the ship is scheduled to visit 6 other East Coast USA ports prior to returning to The Bahamas.

The visit of Ocean Explorer is separate from JAXPORT’s homeported ship, Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival Ecstasy. The company recently extended its pause on Ecstasy’s service from JAXPORT through February 2022.
