Coral Expeditions Australia launches new Christmas season cruises

Coral Expeditions Australia (fleet) revealed its Christmas 2021 cruises, including two voyages on the newbuild/2021-inaugurated boat Coral Geographer.

Both all-inclusive itineraries feature the best of Queensland’s reef. Highlighting the focus on the Reef & Outback theme are a couple of landmark events, including a private charter flight to Longreach and a day in the Queensland Outback, along with a private Sailing Yacht to Whitsundays beach lunch.

Passengers can benefit from 2 gala dinners onboard showcasing 10 iconic Australian wines selected from the “Exceptional” category of Langton’s classification. The ship will visit many of the remote reefs and islands of the Great Barrier Reef allowing vacationers to enjoy encounters with rays, turtles, and dolphins. Further encounters are planned on guided nature walks at Lizard and Magnetic islands.

Details of Coral Expeditions' special events include:

  • “A Day in the Outback”. Passengers will be transported by private jet to Longreach in the Queensland outback where they'll have a classic pub lunch at historic Rosebank station homestead, prior to getting back to the ship.
  • “Sailing Yacht to a Whitsundays Lunch”. Passengers will set sail on a chartered yacht to Whitehaven Beach to linger with Champagne and indulge in a luxe seafood luncheon on the sand before returning at sunset to Coral Geographer.
  • “Two Evenings with Australia’s Finest Wines”. Passengers can indulge in a tasting of ten wines at 2 gala dinners. Selected from the highly prized ‘Exceptional’ category of Langton’s Classification, the legendary wines are paired with Queensland’s best produce, creating a memorable dining experience.

Both Coral Geographer itineraries are 14-night, one departing from Cairns to Brisbane (December 5th) and the reverse from Brisbane to Cairns (December 20th), each priced from US$11,990 pp.
