MSC's cruise ship MSC Seashore became the first-ever to enter Dominicana's new cruise port Taino Bay.

The 2021-built vessel, which started sailing in November, begins her voyage this season with a roundtrip from PortMiami (Florida USA) visiting Ocho Rios (Jamaica), George Town (Grand Cayman), Cozumel (Quintana Roo Mexico), MSC Ocean Cay (Bahamas), San Juan (Puerto Rico), St Thomas USVI, Puerto Plata (Taino Bay).

The new Taino Bay Port is a former cargo pier in Puerto Plata, extended to be able to accommodate two of the world's largest passenger ships (Oasis-class) plus a smaller-sized vessel simultaneously.

Taino Bay has scheduled a total of 24 port calls in December, and ~160 berthings have been already booked thru April 2022.

History, nature, art, food, and adventure excursions are offered from Taino Bay, with 30+ to choose from.

Puerto Plata-Amber Cove (Dominicana)

Puerto Plata is a popular cruise call due to Amber Cove. They are close to each other, just a 7-mile driving distance.

The Ministry of Tourism in Dominicana reported that the country is due to experience 84 cruise ship calls across 5 destinations in December, including Taino Bay and the capital of Santo Domingo.
