Doha Port (Qatar) welcomed the TUI-operated cruise ship Mein Schiff 6 on Saturday, December 25. Carrying 1615 passengers and crew, this was the liner’s maiden visit to the country.

Following her maiden call, TUI's Schiff 6 will make another 10 visits to Port Doha during winter season 2021-2022. Of these, 9 will be turnarounds/roundtrips from Qatar.

On this voyage, 457 passengers joined the ship from Doha.

Qatar Tourism has a long-standing connection with the German travel company TUI Group beginning with a partnership agreement between the 2 entities signed back in 2016. As a result of the agreement, in the 2017-2018 season, Mein Schiff 5 made 7 calls, including her maiden voyage to Doha Port, with another ten visits during the 2019-2020 season.

Among the highlights of the 2021-2022 season are 65 confirmed calls, 9 days when Doha Port will dock 2 ships at a time, 11 liners making their maiden voyages, 11 turnarounds, and 9 ships staying overnight. This will allow cruisers ample time to explore the hospitality, travel, and retail promotions of the destination during the season. Turnaround cruises will start and end in Doha Port, for the duration of the season.
