Yasawa Island (also called Assawa / Ysava), is the main island of Yasawa Group, an archipelago situated in Fiji's Western Division. At 17.00° South and 177.23° East, Yasawa covers an area of 32 km2 (12 ml2). It features a maximum altitude of 244 m (801 ft) above sea level. In 1983 the population was 1,120.

There are 15 words in Fijian language that mean Heaven and the first word is ‘Yasawa’. Yasawa Island Resort & Spa is an exclusive luxury resort on one of Fiji's most unspoiled and remote isles.
