ACL American Glory cabins review
Below is the review of the ACL American Glory ship's cabins, amenities, furniture, and included (complimentary) services.
Most staterooms (48 out of 56 total, or ~85%) feature a private step-out balcony accessible from the living room via a sliding floor-to-ceiling glass door. The balconies are similarly sized, excluding only the suites on Deck 4 (Grand and Sky). Each balcony is furnished with a small round table and two deck chairs.
Hotel beds are either Queen-size double or two twins, with plush headboards, ample under-bed storage space for suitcases, bedside cabinets (3-drawer, with reading lamps), a 2-door wardrobe/closet, a chest of drawers (bedroom dresser), individual climate control, and a medical emergency button.
Regardless of cabin category, each accommodation has a hotel-style, full-size bathroom (with shower, hairdryer, Judith Jackson brand premium bath amenities - shampoo, body wash, conditioner, moisturizer, mouthwash, facial bar, bath soaps, and a vanity kit), a smart HDTV (with local and satellite reception, an infotainment system offering internet access and on-demand movies), a phone (for onboard communication only), a coffee maker, an alarm clock, and a mirrored vanity desk with a chair.
Suites come in 3 categories: GS-Grand, SS-Sky, and VS-Veranda. Of these, the VS-Veranda suite is slightly larger than the Standard Balcony, but with a premium location on the upper deck. The two-room Grand and Sky suites are the largest accommodations and offer additional amenities such as a separate living room/bedroom (with 2 TVs), fresh flowers, terry robes, a refrigerated mini-bar, in-room dining service (continental breakfast served on the balcony), King-size beds, a bed bench, contemporary furniture (armchairs, a 2-seater couch, a dining table with 2 chairs), and marble bathrooms (with a double-sink vanity).
Complimentary Wi-Fi internet access is available with shipwide coverage. Alcoholic beverages (beer and wine by the glass) are complimentary at lunch and dinner, as well as unlimited drinks (soda, water, juices, coffee, and tea), snacks (including freshly baked goods), and room service.
American Cruise Lines deals do not include gratuities or port fees. Since 2022, domestic flights (between airports in the USA, including all the company’s 19 ports in 16 US states) are priced with flat-rate airfares (fixed and not subject to future changes). Also since 2022, ACL prices include a pre-cruise hotel overnight stay in the homeport/departure port city.
MS American Glory has a total of 3 single cabins (for solo travelers) that can be booked at single-occupancy rates (with no single supplement required). Each stateroom has a balcony (with a low table and chair), a French-sized bed (6x5 ft / 190x140 cm), a mirrored writing desk with a chair, a TV, and a bedside table with a reading lamp.
The ship has only one handicapped stateroom (category AAM balcony cabin #210, located midship-starboard on Deck 2). The cabin is wheelchair-accessible (for disabled passengers), with two separate beds, a convenient location near the lift, and is ADA-compliant. The stateroom is designed with larger doors (for entry and the bathroom) and turning spaces, along with a larger bathroom fitted with a raised toilet seat with arms.
Of all the staterooms, only 8 (all positioned forward on Deck 1, category AAC) are without balconies.
