AmaSintra cabins review

Most AmaSintra cabins are French Balcony staterooms, featuring floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open to a railing. All Suites include an additional floor-to-ceiling window. There are six cabin categories in total, each accommodating a maximum of two guests.

Below is a review of AmaSintra’s stateroom features, including furnishings, included amenities, and complimentary services:

All cabins feature hotel-style beds (queen-size or twin configuration, 200 x 160 cm) with plush bedding, generous under-bed and wardrobe storage, individual climate control, and dual-voltage power outlets (220V / 110V).

Each stateroom has a private bathroom with a glass-door shower, multi-function showerhead, hairdryer, and premium bath amenities. Additional furnishings include a mirrored vanity with chair, wardrobe, wireless telephone, electronic safe (in the closet), and two long-range portable Wi-Fi audio devices for use during shore excursions. Guests receive complimentary bottled water daily, and each cabin is equipped with thermostat-controlled air conditioning.

Suites offer a separate lounge area with a full-size sofa, low table with two chairs, and a mini-bar. Their bathrooms are more spacious and include a full-size bathtub.

All cabins come with a 42-inch HDTV offering local and satellite channels, movies on demand, and an Infotainment system providing complimentary in-room internet and real-time bridge cam views.

The four Suites (cabins 301-302-303-304 on Porto Deck) each feature a full-size, open-air balcony separated from the lounge area by sliding floor-to-ceiling glass doors. Their bathrooms include a separate WC and shower (no bathtub) and a double-sink vanity. Additional Suite perks include a Welcome Aboard bottle of wine, a mini-bar replenished daily, and fresh fruit service.

Balcony cabins also feature bathrooms with separate WC and shower, walk-in closet, three wardrobes, and an open-air balcony accessed via electronically controlled floor-to-ceiling glass doors.

Cabins in categories E and D, located on the Douro Deck, are equipped with high-positioned, non-opening porthole windows on the riverside wall.

Wi-Fi Internet is complimentary, unlimited, high-speed, and available shipwide.

Complimentary alcoholic beverages (including unlimited wine, beer, and soft drinks) are served during lunch and dinner.

Complimentary shore excursions include guided walking and biking tours led by local experts. Bicycles are provided onboard free of charge.

All AmaWaterways excursions (sightseeing, city tours, and wine estate visits) are conducted by local, English-speaking guides. In Portugal and Spain, excursions are arranged in partnership with DouroAzul, which also provides luxury travel coaches for land tours.

Note: MS AmaSintra may not feature the exact same cabin amenities as other AmaWaterways-owned vessels.
