Crystal Symphony cabins review
During the 2023 drydock refurbishment, the number of staterooms on Crystal Symphony was reduced from 452 to 310. This resulted in an improved passenger-per-space ratio (from 49 to 51) and changes in passenger capacity—from 904 (double occupancy) and 1040 (maximum) to 606-739 (double/max).
The ship has no Inside cabins. There are 3 ADA-certified/wheelchair-accessible cabins and 38 connecting cabins (19 pairs).
There are now 7 cabin categories, with a maximum capacity of 4, 3, or 2 guests per stateroom.
The 2023-refitted Crystal Symphony introduced three new cabin categories: "Junior Crystal Penthouse Suite," "Sapphire Oceanview Suite," and "Single Guest Room with Ocean View" (bookable without single supplements). The former Penthouse Suites, along with all oceanview and balcony cabins, were redesigned, enlarged, and fully refurbished. All categories were renamed.
Crystal Symphony now offers: 4x Crystal Penthouse Suites (midship on decks 8 and 10), 8x Junior Crystal Penthouse Suites (forward and aft on decks 8-9), 85x Sapphire Veranda Suites, 48x Sapphire Oceanview Suites, 72x Aquamarine Veranda Suites, 22x Double Guest Room with Veranda (standard balcony cabins), 53x Double Guest Room with Oceanview, and 18x Single Guest Room with Oceanview (no single supplement, designed for solo travelers).
Crystal Cruises partnered with GEM (Design for Cruise Ships, Genoa, Italy-based) for the redesign and refurbishment of selected passenger accommodations. The updated interiors now feature neutral tones and pastel colors, premium fixtures, artisanal finishes, and contemporary furnishings.
Standard stateroom amenities and services (complimentary across all categories) include: a living area (sofa, low table, mirrored vanity table with chair, TV, electronic safe in the closet), sleeping area (Queen-size bed convertible to twins, premium bedding, 4 pillows, leather headboard, nightstands with reading lamps), and a bathroom (walk-in shower, hairdryer, hair straightener upon request). Also included are 24-hour room service, turndown service, shoeshine service, packing/unpacking assistance, and a Welcome Aboard bottle of champagne.
Complimentary offerings include wine and spirits by the glass (from a fixed menu), soft drinks, fresh fruit (refreshed daily or upon request), pillow menu, unlimited WiFi, and an interactive tablet for reservations and ship-related updates.
Aquamarine Suites and above additionally feature a walk-in closet, one-touch LED lighting, surround-sound system, Nespresso machine, 2 binoculars (voyage-use only), and receive fresh flowers and afternoon canapés daily.
