MS Roald Amundsen cabins review

HX Expeditions' ship MS Roald Amundsen has a total of 265 passenger cabins (all outside, 50% with balconies) in 13 categories and 3 main types: EXPEDITION SUITES, ARCTIC SUPERIOR (balcony cabins) and POLAR OUTSIDE (oceanview cabins). The ship has 5 wheelchair-accessible cabins (MD-701, XY-719, XY-726, TY-533, TY-540), all of which are also available for general booking.

All staterooms, regardless of category, offer standard (complimentary) amenities including a Queen-size double bed (with under-bed suitcase storage), bedside cabinets, wall-mounted reading lamps, double sofa bed, floor lamps, recessed ceiling lights, mirrored vanity table (writing desk) with chair and magnifying mirror, low table with two lounge chairs (with footstools), mirrored wardrobe, electronic safe (in the closet), coffee/tea making facilities (kettle, tray with packaged coffee and teas), phone (intercom), smart HDTV (satellite reception, infotainment system, wall-mounted), minibar (refrigerator), carpeted flooring, individually controlled air-conditioning, and an en-suite bathroom (wall-mounted WC, glass shower, single-sink vanity, towels, bathrobes, hairdryer). Cabins also have 220V outlets and USB ports.

EXPEDITION SUITES feature large windows, a private balcony, lounge/sitting area (with double sofa bed), private bathroom (WC, shower, single-sink vanity, bathrobes, hairdryer), HDTV, minibar, espresso coffee maker, and kettle. Aft corner suites include outdoor Jacuzzis on their balconies.
