MS Switzerland II cabins review

All MS Switzerland staterooms (55 for 110 passengers) are outside cabins with opening windows. Emerald Deck cabins are accessible via a stairway. Standard cabins are equally sized (13 m²) and feature two twin beds in an L-shape configuration. The riverboat also has four Mini Suites (16 m² on Emerald Deck midship–starboard, and 17 m² on Ruby Deck aft) and four Window Suites. Mini Suites include a double bed and a sitting area with a three-seater sofa. Suites (on Ruby Deck) are 20–21 m² and offer additional amenities such as a sitting area (two armchairs and a coffee table), larger TV, DVD player, king-size bed and two windows.

Two single cabins (aft–starboard on Emerald Deck) can be booked for solo occupancy. They are smaller (12 m² / 130 ft²) and located adjacent to the ship’s aft staircase.

All passenger cabins offer the following standard amenities:

  • partially opening window (with sliding upper section)
  • individually controlled air conditioning
  • en-suite bathroom (washbasin, WC, shower, hairdryer)
  • minibar (refrigerator stocked with beverages)
  • mirrored dressing table (writing desk) with chair and wardrobe
  • flat-screen TV (satellite reception, ship information channel, real-time bow camera views)
  • telephone (onboard calls only — Reception Desk, passenger cabins)
  • alarm clock radio, electronic safe (in the closet), several 220V power sockets
