The ship has 26 connecting cabins, two of which are adjacent to Royal Suites, and seven wheelchair-accessible cabins (all located on Deck 5, behind the Reception Desk). A total of 30 cabins can be booked with single-occupancy rates, designed for solo travelers. Solo guests receive a welcome letter from the ship’s Social Hostess with details about all pre-scheduled “single cruise” themed onboard events.
Some staterooms are configured as triples or quads (with 3rd and 4th berths) and were originally intended for families with children. However, these cabins are no longer available for booking as Marella Explorer 2 now operates as an adults-only ship.
Inside/Interior Cabins measure 16 m² (170 ft²) and are located on decks 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, and 12. These cabins have no windows but feature a large mirror above the bed.
