Oceania Insignia cabins review

Of all Oceania Insignia staterooms (349 total), 66% feature step-out balconies (including 62 Suites and 170 Standard Balcony cabins), 89 are Oceanview cabins (including 14 single cabins), and 28 are Inside cabins. There are only 3 handicap (wheelchair-accessible) cabins for disabled passengers. The ship has 40 connecting cabins and a total of 16 cabin categories.

Owner Suites and Vista Suites feature a large bedroom (king-size bed with luxury bedding, walk-in closet), private balcony (whirlpool bathtub, resort-style lounge furniture), master bathroom (whirlpool bathtub, shower stall), guest bathroom (shower), living room (three TVs, Bose sound system, vanity, plush seating, dining area, minibar with unlimited drinks), entrance foyer, music room (with sea view), and TVs (Owner’s Suite has 3, Vista Suite has 2).

Penthouse Suites feature queen-size beds (convertible to two twins) and a bathroom with a full-size bathtub and separate shower stall.

All Suites and Balcony cabins feature private verandas (premium teak flooring with luxury lounge furniture). Regardless of cabin category, passengers in all MS Insignia staterooms enjoy the following amenities and complimentary services: Tranquility beds (queen-size convertible to twins, “Prestige Tranquility” luxury mattress, ample under-bed storage), oversized bathrooms (marble/granite), sitting area (vanity, dining table), minibar (unlimited bottled water and soft drinks), bathroom amenities (shower with Grohe showerhead, hairdryer, slippers), electronic safe box and life jackets (in the closet), direct-dial satellite phone, smart HDTV (infotainment system, Internet access, on-demand movies), DVD player, nightly turndown service, and power outlets (110/220V).

Additional perks for passengers in Concierge Level cabins and all Suites include upgraded cabin and bath amenities, such as:

  • 24-hour butler/concierge service
  • Priority services, including embarkation, check-in, luggage delivery, packing and unpacking (upon request), in-room dining (including ordering from specialty restaurant menus), shoeshine, laundry, dining and shore excursion reservations, and ashore reservations (dining and entertainment)
  • Welcome gifts (fruit basket, Champagne, Oceania Cruises tote bag)
  • Exclusive lounge access (Deck 11, concierge-serviced) and unlimited access to the Spa Terrace

In October 2022, Oceania Cruises introduced a total of 14 single cabins on Insignia (category SO – Solo Oceanview Stateroom), all located midship on Deck 3 (former category D with obstructed view). These single-occupancy cabins are priced for solo travelers and do not require payment of a single-occupancy supplement.
