Sunflower Sapporo ferry cabins review

As standard amenities, all Sunflower Sapporo staterooms (さんふらわあ さっぽろ ステートルーム) feature lower and upper beds (some with Japanese-style futons), HDTV (including real-time Bridge Camera views), complimentary Wi-Fi, a mirrored writing desk with chair, refrigerator, wall-mounted lighting, bedside power outlets, and an air purifier. Slippers and toiletries are provided free of charge.

Deluxe and higher-category cabins also include tea sets and bottled mineral water.

Sunflower Sapporo cabins are available in the following categories: Balcony Suite (2–3 passengers), Balcony Premium Room (2–3 passengers), Barrier-Free Room (2–3 passengers), Superior Room (2–4 passengers, including 5 Pet Cabins with beds and a sofa bed), Standard Single/Truck Driver Cabin (single bed), as well as Group Cabins (Japanese-style rooms with multiple beds), including Comfort Rooms (capsule-style sleeping spaces for 20–32 passengers) and Tourist Rooms (with floor bedding/folding mattresses for 11–25 passengers).

Cabin balconies are accessed via sliding floor-to-ceiling doors and are furnished with two deckchairs.

Except for Comfort and Tourist cabins, all other staterooms include complimentary amenities such as nightwear/pajamas, bath towels, bath mats, face cloths, wet and body towels, trash can, shoehorn, slippers, deodorant spray, and bath products (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toothbrush, tissues, cotton swabs, razor, hairbrush).

スイート (Deck 7 portside) 1x Suite (capacity 2–3 passengers) is a Western-style room (38 m2 interior + 16 m2 balcony) featuring 2 single beds (convertible into a double bed), 1 sofa bed, and an en-suite bathroom (separate shower and bathtub).

プレミアム (Deck 7) 20x Premium Rooms (capacity 2–3 passengers) measure 17 m2 (interior, plus 7 m2 balcony) and feature 2 single beds, 1 sofa bed, and an en-suite bathroom (shower over bathtub).

バリアフリータイプ (Deck 7 starboard) 1x Premium Barrier-Free Room (capacity 2–3 passengers) is a Western-style room (26 m2) with two large windows and an en-suite bathroom (shower over bathtub). The cabin is wheelchair-accessible and fitted with 2 electrically adjustable beds and 1 sofa bed.

Suite and Premium cabin passengers receive complimentary beverages (canned beer, bottled green tea, and bottled mineral water).

スーペリア (Deck 6) 70x Superior Cabins include 13x Superior Oceanview Japanese-style rooms (スーペリアオーシャンビュー / 和室), 18x Japanese-Western-style rooms, 34x Superior Inside Western-style rooms (スーペリアインサイド / 洋室), and 5x Superior With Pet cabins (1 Inside Western-style and 4 Oceanview Japanese-style rooms スーペリアウィズペット / 内側洋室). Superior cabins accommodate 2–4 passengers, with a total capacity of 222 passengers.

Oceanview Superior rooms are fitted with two single beds plus two foldable mattresses. Superior Inside rooms include 1 lower single bed, 1 Pullman bed (wall-mounted bunk accessed via a ladder), and 1 sofa bed (chair bed).

Portside on Deck 5 are 18 additional Superior Oceanview cabins (Japanese-style, 9 m2, and Western-style, 13 m2), all configured as quad cabins (for 4 passengers / スーペリアオーシャンビュー / 和洋室4名), along with 2 additional Superior With Pet quad cabins (スーペリアウィズペット). Japanese-style rooms feature floor bedding (foldable mattresses).

(Comfort Rooms / コンフォート) Deck 5 houses 1 room for 20 passengers and 5 rooms for 32 passengers each, accommodating a total of 180 passengers. These are capsule-style sleeping rooms (Private Bed Rooms) equipped with TVs and luggage storage space.

The ship's lowest-priced accommodations are the Tourist Rooms (ツーリスト), all located on Deck 5. These include 1 room for 25 passengers and 2 rooms for 11 passengers each, accommodating a total of 47 passengers. These are Japanese-style group rooms with floor bedding (folding mattresses) and partition curtains. Each sleeping space includes a reading light, power outlet, luggage shelf, and privacy curtain, while the TV is shared. The entrance door is secured with a card key.

(Truck Driver Rooms / ドライバールーム) Deck 5 also features 70 Standard Single cabins (Truck Driver Rooms) for single occupancy (1 bed), equipped with a washbasin, power outlet, TV, and writing desk with chair.
