MS Maud deck 12 plan (Midnatsol deck5)

Deck 5 layout starts with the Midnatsol ship’s two Lecture Halls used for business-, a large group- and private meetings, anniversary events, etc. They host exclusively multimedia presentations and lectures by scientists and wildlife experts throughout the voyage (otherwise stays closed /no onboard show program). There is a seating area (with small tables and chairs), which is a nice place for relaxation, reading or enjoying the Norwegian coastline scenery along the Midnatsol itinerary route through the floor-ceiling rounded windows here.

A la carte Restaurant, Grill & Food Court is a 24 hours open cafeteria, with a la carte priced menu for snacks, some hot meals, and drinks. It serves mainly local passengers, who use MS Midnatsol as a port-to-port ferry boat. The portside part of the area has a separate seating area (“Cafe”) often used by passengers for reading.

Kids Playroom is convenient for families travelling with small children.

The Shop sells mostly Norwegian souvenirs and gifts, with some Hurtigruten logo merchandise, also toiletries, clothing, jewellery, postcards, toys (stuffed animals).

Midnatsol Restaurant is the ship’s dining room (capacity 335 seats, nonsmoking, for cruise passengers only). The dining room features large floor-ceiling panoramic windows, 2- and 4-seats tables, a large buffet station in the middle, adjacent Galley/Kitchen area. The Midnatsol dining room restaurant offers buffet-style Breakfast (incl bacon, eggs, sausages, cold meats, selection of cheeses, seafood, breads, also cereals, fruits, porridge, a self-service station for coffee-tea-juice) and Lunch (incl salads and soups, hot/cold meats, pate, seafood, vegetables, desserts). The 2-seating Dinner is waiter-served (with 3-course menu /Scandinavian-Norwegian specialties). Wine by the bottle costs extra  (wine package available for purchase at the restaurant).
